Handicraft tour – Qalamkari (Persian handicraft) is the art of drawing with a pen on a cotton textile which started originally in the Sassanid era in Iran (almost 2500 years ago). As people needed faster textile production, former craftsmen began to make hand-painted or block-printed textiles with wooden stamps called Chit-Sazi. Only natural colors are used in these handicrafts and they will finally pass through a multistage traditional procedure which keeps their colors fixed and stable for future use.
